South East Queensland’s Agility and Jumping Dog of the Year

Top Dog of the Final
Criteria –
1. Masters, Excellent and Novice Classes are eligible for consideration.
2. Each competitor will nominate up to fifteen (15) Agility and (15) Jumping qualifying passes.
3. Qualifying passes gained will have the following restrictions –
a. Passes may be gained at any Zone 1 trial.
b. Maximum of three (3) passes gained outside Zone 1. Photocopy of Qualifying Certificate with the placing countersigned by the Judge, Secretary or Trial Secretary will need to be presented to the scrutineer.
c. Passes from restricted breed and group trials are not eligible.
d. In trials where height is run separately, points will be awarded on overall raw times.
4. Placings will be in accordance with ANKC Agility Rules.
5. Passes will be assigned a points value as follows: A maximum of 150 points will be possible.
a. 1st 10 points
b. 2nd 9 points
c. 3rd 8 points
d. 4th 7 points
e. 5th 6 points
f. 6th 5 points
g. 7th 4 points
h. 8th 3 points
i. 9th 2 points
j. 10th 1 point
6. Passes gained between 1st November & 31st October (12 month period) to be eligible
7. These results must be forwarded to the Qld. State Agility Trial Committee by 14th November each year. The address will be published in the “Dog World”.
8. Competitor must be a financial member of the Canine Control Council (Qld).
9. Dogs must be registered with the Australian National Kennel Council.
Agility Dog of the Year and Jumping Dog of the Year
Current Dog of the Year Trophies will be presented to the highest qualifying score in Agility and the highest qualifying score in Jumping before the running of the Top Dog of the Final. If scores are equal, the winner will be determined by a count back of first place etc.
Top Dog of the Year Final in Agility and Jumpers
This event will be held at the December Fundraiser Trial conducted by the Qld State Agility Trial Committee.
On receipt of submitted results the Qld. State Agility Trial Committee will identify the top ten (10) finalists and three (3) reserves based on the order of highest points. Dogs with equal points in tenth place will be eligible for the final.
All finalists will be contacted before 1st December and the list will be published on the Qld. Agility Website.
The Final will be run in reverse order (lowest scoring dog to highest scoring dog).
The Final will be run at Master Class level in both Agility and Jumping.
Perpetual trophies will be awarded to the winners as follows –
Captain Jack Trophy (Donated by Bob and Denise Mills) – Top Dog of the Final for Agility
Miss Cher Trophy – Top Dog of the Final for Jumping
